Q23、What is Knowledge Audit?
“Knowledge Audit” means planned process design and inspection. Focusing on the specialized fields of the corporation internally and the needs of clients externally, systematic knowledge material inspection and analysis are conducted.
First of all, according to the definition of knowledge, knowledge material inventory work is carried out. A knowledge material inventory chart is used, and the basic information of knowledge materials that need to be included filled in. This includes the names, storage positions and issuing units of these materials.
Second of all, the formats of knowledge materials are inspected. In order to select important knowledge, the knowledge material formats should use the structural methods as much as possible, so it is easier to fill out and read. In addition, you can add index columns for future search and use.
Finally, the characteristics and status of knowledge materials are inspected and analyzed. For example, the categories of materials, file formats, sharing extent, or written languages. They all can be used as important references for future knowledge categorizations or characteristic information. Through the steps mentioned above, the organizational knowledge characteristics and storage status can be grasped. The whole procedure can be called “Knowledge Audit.”
